Summary

Implements modular font scale as in this PoC for Figma and CSS.

Custom, native CSS formula for the type of font scale described in Tim Brown's More Meaningful Typography

The formula allows setting the wanted body font size with --ds-font-scale-base and stretching or squeezing the scale with --ds-font-scale-ratio

TODO:

  • make code support generating either static values or modular formulas for font sizes
  • extend config / CLI arguments to toggle between modular and static font size values
  • extend config to allow setting font-scale.base and font-scale.ratio
  • maybe: extend config to allow overriding font size tokens with static values for each mode (some folks might want very specific size values), and if this has been done, always generate static font-size values
